Alison Mosshart with New song Announces New Spoken Word Album Sound Wheel

Alison Mosshart has announced her first solo spoken word album Sound Wheel, due out August 7 via Third Man, with a new song called “Returning the Screw.”

In Pitchforks’s voice, Mosshart is releasing the album alongside a printed collection of paintings. Also in the list includes photographs, short stories, and poetry titled CAR MA; after an initial limited run sold out, CAR MA is getting a wider release via Third Man Books. Mosshart released “Rise,” her first solo song under her own name, in April. The Kills’ last LP was 2016’s Ash and Ice. They released Echo Home – Non-Electric EP, an acoustic record featuring a cover of Rihanna’s “Desperado,” in 2017.
